Hawaii is positioned in both the northern and western hemispheres, it is located in the north pacific ocean. Hawaii is not considered part of the North american continent. Hawaii has a population of 1,288,198 people. English is the official language in hawaii however hawaiian is still the heart and soul. There are two currently active Valcanoes on the big island, Kilauea, and mauna Loa.

Fiji is a Melanisian island located in the South Pacific, the islands are North of new zealand. Fijis population in 2000 was at 832,494 about 34% of the population is between 5 and 20. languages spoken in FIji are english, Fijian, and Hindi. There are many places where you can do white water rafting there are no major rivers.

Colombia is located in the northwest corner of south america. Colombia is between panama and venezuela the pacific ocean borders columbia on the north west. Colombias population was 39.68 million in july of 2,000, the birth rate is 28.85 per 1,000 and the death rate was 5.73 per 1,000. The eastern half of colombia is low jungle covered plain. The colombian river the wimahl is the largest river in the pacific northwest region of north america. the most important language in colombia is spanish.

Curio Bay is located near the southern end of new Zealand's South island. Curio Bay is a coastal embayment most known as the petrified forest. Curio Bay has a colony of yellow eyed penguins which is one of the rarest penguin species. The north island of new Zealand is known for its active volcanic mountains and hot springs. The country's longest river is the Waikato its 425 kilometers from end to end. The largest lake the Taupo is situated in the volcanic heart of the north island. Both the Taupo lake and the Waikato river are located on the north island. The only two main languages in New Zealand are english and maori.

Australia is located directly to the south of papua New Guinea, Australia is in both the south and east hemisphere completely surrounded by the Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean. Australia's population hit 21.6 million at the end of 2008. Australia is always hot and dry, the precipitation falls annually over 70 percent of the land area there are no permanent rivers or lakes in the region. English is the official language of australia but theirs also,Italian, Greek, Cantonese, and Arobic. One cool place that i would like to visit in Australia is Uluru, or Ayers rock. It is a large sand stone rock formation in the southern part of northern territory. It has water holes, rock caves, and ancient paintings.
